Position Summary Part-time Research Assistants will support the data processing and analysis phase of a research project examining teacher psychophysiology during laboratory tasks. The primary responsibility of the research assistants will be to prepare and process psychophysiology data from several indices: electrodermal activity, heart rate and variability, and respiratory sinus arrythmia. Essential Functions Learn psychophysiology data management and processing methods Implement data management, preparation, and processing methods with participant files with detail-oriented approach to tracking file completion and issues/errors that arise Manage data within participant file and, ultimately, across files as files are combined for data analysis Participate in a weekly team research meeting with the other research assistant and Dr. Rozenman to trouble-shoot errors/issues and ensure file processing occurs accurately and efficiently Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and/or other data management systems Strong detail-orientation and ability to follow multi-step instructions and clearly document issues/errors in data Ability to define problems, propose solutions, and implement them after consulting with supervisor Following training period, ability to work independently and bring questions to weekly meeting Required Qualifications DU student who can make a commitment to the project at 10 hours per week for the entirety of this academic year (through mid-June 2026) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to communicate effectively in person and via email Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with data management using formal software (e.g., Excel, SPSS) Prior research experience Working Environment Standard office environment Noise level is quiet to moderate Research assistant must be able to work independently processing data (primarily alone) following training period The University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer.
