Full-Time Experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team at Georgetown Pediatrics & Family Medicine! They will play a vital role in our goal to serve our patients, their families and support physicians in the community.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Provides patient services under the direct supervision and responsibility of the designated supervising staff physician
- Obtains medical and personal histories
- Performs initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations
- Educates patients and families
- Prioritizes and assesses patients
- Provides primary care through wellness visits and assessment
- Diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses to a variety of patients
- Maintains standard universal precautions
- Prescribes medications and completes treatments according to office policies and within age-specific parameters.
- Maintains and completes all necessary patient record documentation
- Assist Practice Manager in clinical skills guidance and training for clinical staff.
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE ***** Specific to NP
- Board Certified
- Licensed in the state of Texas
- 1 year Pediatric experience required
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK Daytime, evening, and weekend schedules available. Multiple schedule options.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This job will require exposure to patient elements. Works near others, usually within a few feet. May work in a noisy or distracting environment. This role routinely uses standard office and medical equipment.
