Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Were seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join a Cancer and Infusion Center on a full-time travel (or local) contract with the potential to transition to permanent hire. This role is ideal for a clinical pharmacist with strong oncology background and sterile pounding expertise who is ready to make an immediate impact.
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday Friday, Days (~7:00 AM 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Type: 13-week travel contract to hire
Responsibilities:
Evaluate patient therapies for appropriateness, safety, and age-specific adjustments
Provide clinical interventions to reduce adverse drug events
Serve as liaison to other departments, providing operational support and education on new treatment regimens
Conduct clinical research and participate in professional development programs
Oversee preparation of IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and sterile products while supervising technicians and support staff
Maintain and manage oncology medication inventory and storage
Collaborate with oncology teams to standardize ordering procedures for chemotherapeutics
Assist in developing and updating departmental and nursing policies
Requirements:
Active pharmacist license (state-specific, must be obtained prior to start)
5+ years of acute care clinical experience, with extensive oncology focus
Sterile pounding/IV mixing experience required
PGY1 Oncology Residency (ASHP-accredited) strongly preferred
Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) strongly preferred
Ability to work independently and supervise support personnel
Experience in specialty pharmacy medication management
Reliable personal transportation required
