General Summary:
As an Inventory Flow Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our lot, which includes vehicle receiving and shipping, inventory scanning, lot washing and merchandising, and ensuring our customers receive exceptional service.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Execute tasks according to set work instructions and standardized processes.
• Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts with your team.
• Assist in training new associates under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Maintain daily lot cleanliness and security in display areas and work-in-progress zones.
• Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax.
• Prepare vehicles and title packets for shipment to other locations.
• Conduct thorough scanning of vehicles to ensure accurate inventory status.
• Wash and vacuum customer returns and loaner vehicles, as well as complete front-lot washing.
• Operate the Photo Station process for vehicle listings.
• Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs or storage.
• Provide support for auctions when applicable.
• Ensure workplace organization and cleanliness in line with CarMax 5S standards.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by senior associates and managers.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a current driver’s license and meet CarMax DSEPS standards.
• Ability to read, interpret, and accurately document data.
• High School diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Capability to follow defined processes and instructions effectively.
• Ability to safely lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Complete required training for Inventory Associate Workstation and any assigned learnings.

Working Conditions:

• Work may be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and may occasionally involve noisy or inclement weather conditions.
• Flexible work hours required; shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Position involves considerable walking or standing in a high-energy, fast-paced setting.
• Mandatory use of CarMax branded clothing while working in our locations.
• Adherence to all CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment and waste disposal practices.
• Compliance with all CarMax policies, including Attendance and Standards of Professional Appearance.
