General Summary:
As an Inventory Flow Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining our lot and ensuring vehicle readiness. Under general supervision, you will handle zone maintenance, vehicle receiving and shipping, inventory scanning, and provide outstanding customer service while ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the lot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute defined processes for vehicle management
- Engage in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
- Train new associates as directed by Inventory Associate II or the Manager
- Maintain excellent service for both internal and external customers
- Ensure daily lot maintenance and security
- Receive and secure vehicles shipped to CarMax
- Prepare vehicle and title packets for shipping
- Scan vehicles accurately to manage product status
- Wash and vacuum customer returns and loaner vehicles
- Operate the Photo Station process
- Drive vehicles on and off the lot for repairs or storage
- Support Auctions as needed
- Uphold workplace cleanliness based on CarMax 5S standards
- Complete other assigned duties from leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires:
- A current driver's license that meets CarMax standards
- Ability to read, interpret, and record data accurately
- High School diploma or equivalent experience preferred
- Capability to follow established processes
- Completion of Inventory Associate Workstation Certifications and training
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
Working Conditions:
- Work may be conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings,
- Flexibility for shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Extended periods of walking and standing in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Compliance with CarMax's dress code and safety regulations, including the usage of Personal Protective Equipment.
Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is $19.69.
