Job Description

Overview Clinical Research Coordinator II for the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF). The role involves writing, editing, documenting, and packaging protocols, consent forms, and other regulatory documents for assigned research projects, ensuring actions for protocol approval across federal and non-federal sponsors. The incumbent will conduct research and development in collaboration with others for various projects in support of CDP’s mission to advance military behavioral health through training, education, and dissemination of research. CDP leads survey research to assess needs of military families, conducts secondary analyses of Military Health System records to identify predictors of access and dropout, and tests a telehealth referral network to improve care quality. HJF provides administrative support to CDP. CDP aims to be a central hub for the Military Health System in developing and implementing training and education to clinicians to ensure quality behavioral healthcare for service members, veterans, and their families. Responsibilities Writes protocol applications and consent forms for Institutional Review Boards; prepares and submits required documentation for research conduct. Manages regulatory issues after IRB approval, including addenda, annual progress reports, adverse event/safety reporting, and updating regulatory requirements and investigator information; maintains accurate regulatory-compliant study documentation. Perform scientific literature searches, editing, and formatting; distribute manuscripts and reports to collaborators as required. Collaborates with investigators and staff to screen, recruit, and collect data from study subjects; applies quality control measures and contributes to data collection and coding. Performs administrative duties such as maintaining study databases and files, scheduling, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas/minutes, and handling study materials. May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including required trainings. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree required; background in psychology, social work, or other health-related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of project management; well-organized. Ability to follow detailed instructions and manage multiple tasks. Ability to facilitate communication among supervisors, peers, and supervisees. Familiarity with Institutional Review Board activities and applicable federal/military regulations for human subjects research. Ability to set and meet deadlines; culturally sensitive, inclusive communication; understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Interest in military mental health research; ability to understand and utilize scientific terminology in oral and written form. Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit or stand at a computer for prolonged periods. Work Environment Primarily office setting. Compensation Annual salary range: $57,650–$78,000.
