Job Description
Eagle Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Upholsterer to join our team, specializing in high-end private aircraft interiors. This role is responsible for refurbishing, repairing, and customizing aircraft seating and upholstery, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship and compliance with aviation standards.
The Aircraft Upholsterer will handle all aspects of seat restoration, including material selection, cutting, sewing, padding, and finishing. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation, automotive, or marine upholstery and demonstrate strong sewing and patterning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform upholstery refurbishment and restoration on private jet interiors, including seats, panels, and soft goods.
· Remove and reinstall aircraft seats and interior components as needed.
· Work with high-quality materials such as leather, vinyl, fabric, and foam to achieve luxury finishes.
· Demonstrate advanced sewing techniques, pattern-making, and cutting for precise fits.
· Ensure all work meets FAA regulations and Eagle Aviation’s high-quality standards.
· Collaborate with the aircraft maintenance and completions teams to align upholstery work with project timelines.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Job Requirements
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in upholstery refurbishment, preferably in aviation, automotive, or marine industries.
· Strong sewing, patterning, and material application skills.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces, including kneeling, stooping, and laying down.
· Proficiency with industrial sewing machines, cutting tools, and upholstery adhesives.
· Attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
· Ability to provide a portfolio or demonstrate upholstery skills as part of the hiring process.
Compliance
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Must be able to pass drug screening and TSA background screening.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
